If you haven't gotten wind of the ballooning popularity of inflatable paddle-boards, writer Eric Sanford, spent a couple weeks in British Virgin Islands and has shed light on why these boards are so swell- especially when traveling by boat.
He does a very good job of taking a close look at what makes these types of craft so ideal for boaters. He also compares different inflatables across the board. We were lucky enough to send Eric some product for his trip and you see our award nominated iSUPs in all the photos from the journey. (there's even a cameo of the iMAT in the magazine!)
One thing I would add though. For all those surfers that have become wrapped in this sport, your quick to realize that there is a whole new world that opens up when you take up Standup Paddling (SUP). Sanford likens SUPing to an oversize surfboard, but to those of us who come from a surfing background- it's more like an undersized boat!
